Pia’s Farewell race

Rossi Uphill was an unofficial race we had some years ago. It was a fun race where the finish line was on top of Rosskopf. There was no signed race track. Everyone could choose their own route, the route they tought would be the shortest and fastest.
After a few years of not having Rossi Uphill the race was organized again. This time as Pia’s Farewell Race up to Rossi. The race started at 17.30 and people went off in different directions. Me and the other girls pedaled the same route up. It was a great opportunity to talk old memories from so many training sessions and races we had together.
On the top we waited for everyone before we started our descending. Down at the start, by Lienhart Bakery store, we had some delicisous bakery products and drinks. It was such a great way to finish my career having all theese people with me as I was saying good bye to racing.
Thanks to Lienhart for making it possible and thanks to everyone who joined me in my last race. This evening I will never forget,

Here the results from the race ūüôā

Tack Pia! Du har gett oss många spännande upplevelser under din aktiva karriär. Dessutom har du förgyllt idrottsvärlden blott med din närvaro bland dina idrottskolleger.

Du må ikke slutte enda, du er jo bare ungdommen!

Very sad, as you’re among the strongest and seem to have fun. Also, C. will miss you as his very best Mixed partner.

On the other hand, there’s other things to life than racing. So have a good time!

Concerning the Sinus infection: I had it last year and couldn’t get rid of it though I’m not one to be seriously ill usually. Also, antibiotics didn’t work and I had the infection several times (allways starting with a sore throat, mostly no temperature, but heavy sinusitis) all through autumn, winter and even spring. Only after taking a very, very long break from biking (about 3 months), I could regain strengh. Since then, I’ve been fine – luckily.

Wish you a perfect recovery though!
