I am on my way to Sonthofen, where Trans Germany will start tomorrow. Sam and Paul from team Felt Öztal Xbionic picked me up in Freiburg and I got a lift with them. Was fun to catch up with the XCO scenery and listen to Paul’s stories about his home country Australia. A really nice guy, as all the Aussies usually are. We made a short stop over at Thomas Litscher’s home in Switzerland to pick up his race licence. His mother offered us cakes and cookies, like every good mother does. A glas of Rivella made it all taste fantastic. Four stages will take us from Sonthofen to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. We will be riding in a beautiful area and I am very much looking forward to the next four days. I already know some of the stages. Some of them we rode last year. This makes everything a bit easier, knowing what climbs and downhills are still to come. The weather forecast for the week is still a big question mark. The weather is at the moment everything else than stable with some rain showers every now and then. Of course it would be nice with a lot of sunshine, but even if it rains it doesn’t matter. The weather conditions are the same for everyone. So now I will just welcome you back and visit my homepage on a daily basis. I will keep you posted on what is going on before, during and after the races. As usual stage races are full of action. I am pretty sure this time won’t be an exception and I will keep you posted.
