Santa Ana was the town where we started today. It took us about 1 hour to get there from San Salvador. We signed in and the race started. 35km down the road and back. The stage was supposed to be longer, but due to some problems with paasing on the roads towards Guatemala, we had to turn back a bit earlier. That was fine with me, and I think everybody was happy that the stage was shorter.
The race was fast right from the start with a lot of attacking. I tried to ride an active race and get into a break away. Unfortnately it did not work.
10km from the finish a Be Pink rider attacked and got away. Noone was chaising her. She was far down in the GC, so no treath to anyone.
I finished in the bunch and was 9th in the GC. That means a few more UCI points and one step closer to London.
Tomorrow there is ne more race, Grand Prix GSB. So one more day to stay focused before I am heading home.
