Finland again

It is almost Christmas and I do not feel like Christmas at all. One reason might be the lack of snow. In Black forest the weater has been good, for cyclists. I don’t like warm weather when it should be winter. I do not want to ride my bike. I try to avoid cycling during the winter months. Can there be a better feeling when the spring is coming and the sun is starting to melt the snow and you are really really motivated to get on you bike again? Then you really want to put your skis aside.
I want to have this feeling in March again, but first I need to do my 2000km on my cross country skis. It is just a must, because I love it and it gives me such a physical strength and a mental freshness.
As I am writing this I am sitting in a hotelroom in Vantaa, close to Helsinki. I took the evening flight from Frankfurt last night and arrived to a rainy Helsinki Vantaa Airport. I already miss Black forest and can hardly wait to get back to prepared skiing tracks. Yes! It has finally been snowing and the tracks are open since yesterday! My flight back is tomorrow evening, but first I have some tasks to do. One of them is a meeting with the Olympic committee tomorrow morning That will be very exciting as we will have several themes on our agenda to discuss about. More about that in my next blog.
Now I will go to a enormous shopping mall called Jumbo. Will meet a good friend there. Have a cup of tea and som ginger bread. Trying to get some Christmas feeling in this dark and rainy weather.
