Trans Schwarzwald, stage 2

It was a very fast start and I tried my best to stay in the group I was in. Finally I just had to let go. Difficult to give up in such a way, but I have to accept it. My right leg is not working in a way it should anymore and I can’t change that. Only a surgery will help.

Still there is 5 days to go. You always hear people talk about how important it is to be optimistic and think in a positive way. That sound really great, but I need to be realistic now. I will go out there every stage and do my best, but I do not want to jeopardise my health: It is enough to have one handicap at the moment, I do not need another one.
