We arrived in Livigno today. Today’s stage was not an easy one, but I knew the climbs we had to do and it helped me a lot. I knew where it is important to save energy and could finish the stage without feeling too tired.
Our tactics today was to take it easy in the beginning. We were rolling up the first valley in a comfortable speed. Milena and Heiko caught us in the first downhill and we continued with them.
In the second climb of the day Milena was struggeling a bit and we got a gap that grew a little bit all the time.
It was good to have kind of an easy day. Tomorrow will be really hard. We will be riding up Mortirolo Pass, a well known climb from Giro d’Italia. That will be exciting!
